@jdunnett dont you see the fucking waves? I must say video always makes it look much less but it really looks heavy wind, probably 30knt was real..

@prankster185595 not entirely true. they are hard to sail in anything more than 25, we had our nationals in australia on days where it was consistently above 30 knots

it is true, they are flat in 10 knots, but in 30 knots with big waves you want to stay aboard and you spread your legs and lift yourself higher. Also the boat goes maybe even slower in 30 than in 10 because if you are too fast you pitchpole easily.

is this really over 30 knots?? i doubt it... the kite was hardly flapping when they pulled it down, and there is no spray off the waves

it was. I measured. Camera takes away atleast 5 knots from the video, especialy when it is cloudy.
