Photoshop IS needed, you can't use anything else.
If you don't have Photoshop and want icons, please email at junkmail123678@gmail.com (don't worry I will read it, it's not my junk mail account) telling me the app icon(s) you want me to make, and I will make it

I will soon be posting a tutorial on how to make CS4 style icons, which I think are much more stylish.

Edit: Distance should be 10, not 13
Edit, again: If you apply your icon using the apple+I way, the icon for your app/file may become a generic .icns file icon. If that happens, you're gonna have to export it as a folder icon instead of .icns

  • Actually I managed to do this in Acorn, but it's difficult.

  • how do you get the icons in your applications folder to be smaller??

  • SOUNDS LIKE THAT GUY IN THE BACKGROUND SMOKED A BLUNT

  • Oh yeah, I didn't see that :S

  • thanx i hane a mac thats y my name is MACwizful than ill go try it

  • I dunno. Maybe you don't have the plugin? Try going to the Adobe website and search "Lighting Effects" and download the plugin and put it in your plugin folder (on mac it's /Applications/Photoshop CS4/Plugins/ on windows it's C:\Program Files\Photoshop CS4\Plugins I'm not so sure about windows, but you should be able to figure it out)
