did you install anything else besides the exhaust, like for the fuel and air mixture?

I've got a 06 M5 with the same pipes...sounds great! Thinking of putting a hypercharger on it with a power commander. Other things I've done is add a integrated taillight and lowered it 3 inches. what did u install besides pipes,i just got my M50, i m planning to put V&H cruiser pipe. give some advice

I have an '07 M50 with V & H Cruzer pipes. you don't need to add any type of Power Commander for these pipes, because they don't make that big of a change. If you were changing something with the air intake, then you would definitely need a PC. My bike has benn running stong for 2 years now, no trouble at all. Just install the V & H pipes, and ride !

What does the chip do and how do you install it?

It adds more fuel to the mix - depending on which ver. you install - the r is factory and uses the factory pigtails under the tank.
