Michael Jackson - Oxford Union Speech Part 4/4

On March 6 2001, Michael Jackson spoke to students at Oxford University, to promote his new initiative; Heal the Kids.

Develpoed by Heal the World Foundation, Heal The Kids was launched in year 2000.

Heal The Kids was set up to develop a campaign to help parents and adults around the world to educate them on the importance of reprioritizing their lives in order to bring children into the main focus in order to imbue them with the love and devotion which they so badly need and to stop the cycle of neglect. Give all at risk children more support and consideration from all sectors of society.

I had no idea, of course not - why would the press ever show this man giving an eloquent, insightful, profoundly vulnerable and honest speech... they preferred the circus caricature they created, so they could make MONEY. I am so disgusted with what our apathy or voyeurism have allowed to happen to this man. He did not die suddenly on June 25th - it was a death of a thousand cuts to his spirit over many years. My only hope is that his children have a copy of this... Godspeed Michael

michael, you are just amazing. i can't stop crying now. i feel terribly sorry that michael is gone and for many things - first, i and michael's kids will no longer have the chance to watch him live in the most spectacular show of all time...( to be continued )

The love that Michael has comes from GOD let us never forget that. GOD gave him his talent and his voice.

Maybe he went through all those hurtful times so that we could learn from it and be better people.

MJ's story has taught me so much.

Joeseph did love his children, he just wanted them to be disceplined

the bible says if you love a child you will discepline it.

And if Joe hadnt been a "pushy parent" Who knows? maybe michael wouldnt have done all he did.

Wouldnt that be a shame? All that talent gone to waste.

I agree that Joseph shouldn't have been abusive to Michael, especially the personal verbal abuse about his appearance, but Joe did love his kids dearly and wanted the best for them x

This is a truely beautiful speech that uniquely reveals the depth of Michael's soul. He was so on target with his ideas on the necessity of love and forgivness, however, he was missing just one vital component, that we as humans are weak and fallen and can't heal ourselves without the strength of GOD and the Lord Jesus Christ! God can overcome and heal any hurt, pain and wrong doing against us if we only believe and accept HIS love. He will restore our hearts fully if only given the chance!
