how much does the maltese coats grow? its hot here in CA i want my dogs hair long in winter could i give him a shave like this and still and a long coat for winter? i am a 26 y/o male and never wouold have thought id have a "little" dog. plain and simple best breed of small dogs hands down i love my lil guy

it grows a lot, maybe one inch a month.I have to cut it every 2 months.

i have a shih-tzu when he was a puppy we took him to the pet salon and cut his hair after his hair grows back and his hair was curly until he haz 4 babies 3 of his babies haz his curly hair and straight but their mother died :'(
