What do you mean, "Playing on single string?" I hear double stop and I see playing on at least 2 strings, and probably 3.

@DJFozter WELL in fact my dear fellow, it is much more authentic to the old tradition of what you estimate "quality" as the average age of individuals was to forty somethin before they died. With the majority of fiddle players beginning in theyre twenties or thirties due to the expense of becoming a musician. Sounds like your a little jealous my insecurely critical friend.

He means one string at a time, as opposed to two strings at once, which is common to the fiddle-playing style.

You can tell that by the age of 60 David Kaynor has only 30 years of fiddle playing experience, coz it sounds poor.
If he had taken it up much younger then perhaps it would sound nice and authentic and sensitive to traditional styles.
