@ITFNxSpartan also look at those lords squabbling over who can be king, even though Arthur has demonstrated he has both birth rite and has proven himself worthy by wielding Excalibur. they want the power of the throne, Uther went power mad with the throne like his father king Constant, Mordred sought power, Mab sought power, so you could also say that it shows also how power can corrupt, and how the quest for power can lead to much bloodshed and pain.

@felicitatumfortunae Your completely missing any and all points i made.

@ITFNxSpartan Queen Ma'ab is queen of the faeries(sidhe). Merlin could never have been more powerful than her because he is half human.

Arthur pulling Excalibur from the stone in this movie was freakin' epic. :D

Thanks for putting this here. I love this movie. I love that it tells the truth about magic, that magic is real and that it is no good.
@katatinkacaroon Magic is real eh?
About as real as peace i guess.
This movie never implied that magic was no good...
Merlin had the potential to be more powerful than the queen. But he did not desire power as he was raised pure of heart and honest.
The queen had power, but it was diminished due to general disbelief. Most of her spells were illusions.
If anything this movie's message was that power is ultimately nothing but an illusion, all things must change and no power can change that.
