@grubeci Of course it had to be different than all of them, cuz those were the early days of Heavy-Metal music although Gene has never refused being influenced by the Beatles (he's said he loved their music since the 60's and we have to remember they did a proto-metal song called "Helter-Skelter" in 1968); another stuff which surely sounded different in those days was the Punk-Rock made by bands like the Ramones and the Sex Pistols even they weren't as popular as KISS and Disco music were then.

This is the version used in the movie Detroit Rock City.

I was like seven when this stuff came out..and it was different than disco and the beattles and Barry Manilow.

@n2112bytor2112p mmkay, 0:13, as answered already, Paul used the bandit makeup for a short time only before switch back to the Starchild. 0:18 the double neck was used during I BELIEVE Rock Bottom during the Reunion Tour, I'm not too sure on that. and 0:46, that is either a recording session or a soundcheck from the 70's

@n2112bytor2112p not sure about the other questions, but at 0:13 that was Paul Stanley's bandit makeup he only used for a month or two in 1974 after Kiss was signed to Casablanca, Paul hated it so he switched back to the Starchild. My best guess for 0:46 would be maybe it's him recording in the studio.
Eric was still a good drummer though!
