I'm hearing these rumors on the internets that a certain glitch pokemon appears in Ruby version BY NAME ("MissingNo", not ?x10 or ?).

Well, it appears the text-string "MISSINGNO" does not appear in Ruby ONCE (real Pokemon names, such as "PIKACHU", "DEOXYS", "NINETALES", and "BUTTERFREE", do).

try it yourself!

Just leave her alone. She believes she saw it and you don't have to go out of your way to make this video and straigt-up diss her. And it's also very mean that you made those tags say her name.

    (BTW, you might recognize me.)

  • oh, sorry, that other message was from me but I was logged into my sister's account or something.

No, I don't care if a bunch of people on TCoD hate me. No, I don't care how many enemies I make. No, I'm not removing this video. However, I'll remove the tags.

  • that was time well wasted. T_T

  • Fighting over pokemon, that's fucking badass!

  • Oh, and that last comment was supposed to have 20 or so spaces in those first quotes, by the way. So yeah, if you can pronounce a name consisting of a large string of null characters, then good for you.

  • Why can't people just accept the fact that some folks use the term "missingno" as a catchall term for all invalid pokemon and it is in no way an insistence that it's the ACTUAL name of the thing. It certainly rolls off the tongue better than " " or "?????????????????". That is all; enjoy your little internet e-peen battle, folks.

  • The name MissingNo. isn't in there, but it's something the game itself did totally wrong. In Gen I there was a good chance of finding one because there wasn't as many species of Pokemon and they had some extra space for data and the game makes an error by picking an extra space. In Ruby you have more Pokemon in there and less extra space so there's less of a chance you'll find MissingNo.

  • @jIgSaWcLoWn He is just being precise and objective. The video isn't getting at the interpretation that 'there are no glitches past Generation I'. Its saying that most 'fillers' were dummied out as ??????????, or ? not 'MISSINGNO.'.

  • @lightforce9000

no ya didn't if you did see a box it is called dp box (even though it is in pt and hg/ss)

  • I found missingno in pokemon platnium

and he was box form(tetris block)

    But he is in ruby

  • Yep. MissingNo isn't in Gold, Silver, Crystal, FireRed, LeafGreen, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Diamond, or Pearl! Just Red, Green, Blue, and Yellow.
