  • I agree

  • @aj1132 Headwind helps...but that cub is a 200K and made of carbon fiber and probably pushing 180HP+

  • @aj1132 You definitely CANNOT do that in any airplane. These planes are structured for STOL, they have very low stall speeds and they more than likely have modified flaps and who knows what else. I agree with a strong headwind all airplanes can land in relatively short distances with a proper approach, but NOT this short!

  • Pretty neat

  • Very entertaining i enjoyed it very much.

  • graet

  • @aj1132 Yes it is true that with a headwind any plane can do that but that is just in theory

You see these planes can do that even with no wind at all and some can even take off and land in 10ft

Any plane could do that but it would require a headwind equal or larger than its take off speed

  • Takeoff @0:23

  • @artcore3030 been in a few bush planes in my day with good and average pilots. To do this takes skill, knowing your plane and preping it for the competition.

  • @aj1132 wow a real expert!!! I am truly humbled

  • Headwind or not. What I just saw is NOT indicative of what the vast majority of pilots are capable. My brother flew for United for 30 years and on his "off" time I saw him do some very "interesting" things with Cubs and Cessnas, but it took him quite a bit longer to land than these guys. I was always the one taking off, so I took forever.

  • @aj1132 umm, no, helicopters cost considerably more than fixed wing aircraft.

  • @gwizdvr anyone who spends over 200k on a cub is obviously insane. Spend less than half of that and buy a helicopter.
