I'm not against anything, But, it's not okay to translate everything! I learned english by watching cartoons and discovery channel when i was a kid,.. If i had german channels, i'm shure i would know german too.

Ofcourse they have the right to watch american/british TV in germany, but don't make the programs look so funny with the bad lipsync. I live 10km from Germany and Belgium. 90% of ppl here in the Netherlands and Belgium can speak fluently english, if I go to germany maybe 20% max can... They can't communicate with the outside (rest of the) world... Its not a problem for me since I can speak some german myself, but I can stand the fact they don't even try..

@Sycorexxx germans do not have to know english, it´s not the language of the world. in fact, YOU are the one who should learn a bit of german if you travel there.

oh btw, german people translate english programmes into german because germans have the RIGHT to watch good american TV in german

Its even worst: ALL (yes ALL) english programs are translated to german on TV. And to make it worst: They playback/lipsync ALL foreign interviews/programs/shows.. It so funny. When I go to Germany, noone can ever speak to me in English. They seems like they are still isolated to the rest of the world...
