I have all three versions of this program but still have been baffled by the .lvo file format that is used for the 3d objects. It would have made much more sense if a universal file format was used for the 3d objects, such as .3ds

At one time, i had downloaded all the files back in 2000. The dancing mushroom was my fav.

Alas development was stopped in 2002 though may still be up on some sites- the basic Player was FREE. The product was way ahead of its time and launched in 1999 and was shown at Woodstock 1999 behind FatBoy Slim & Moby!

There were 3 versions: LAVA Player, LAVA Producer & LAVA Reactor (which could also handle realtime video streams mapped onto 3D objects). However, with the dotcom bust in 2002 Creative decided to stop funding its incubator startup initiatives.
The A/V technology was developed at Creative's Advanced Technology Center in California by Alan Seefeldt and Alan Peevers and productization led by Mike Barnes.
