@TheJohnsonsOfficial I agree. More! that sound makes school, you can basically hear a similar way to build solos on some U2 albums, e.g on songs like "Walk On", "Miracle Drug" and so on...

@sail1948 Actually, being a brilliant song writer who has written the most memorable guitar riffs in music history DOES qualify Keith as a brilliant player. The professional guitarists that I play with and record with all understand Keith's brilliance, so I don't know who you jam with, but I do know who I've had the pleasure of playing and recording with, and the fact that they (myself included) make a living playing music probably trumps you in the educated opinion category enough to matter.

@MrCeej9999 You are 100% correct, and any professional guitarist (which I am) would agree with you. It's only the garage band grunts who put any emphasis on playing fast. When you look at the biggest and the best bands in history (Beatles, Stones, Heartbreakers, Eagles,etc...), how much fast stuff was ever played?

Come on man, you'd beat up your own gran once a week on stage, if a promoter offered you $30 million to do it, for a few months.
They still tour as:
1: They love it
2: A lot of people love watching them
3: They get paid obsene amounts of money to basically do what they love doing
