LMS Summer String Fest 2011 - Bloch: Concerto Grosso for Strings with Piano Obligato

Performance in Merkin Concert Hall from 2011's Summer String Fest at Lucy Moses School.

Kaufman Center's week-long String Festival is open to intermediate and advanced string players ages 10-19. Intensive all-day sessions feature private, chamber orchestra and sectional group instruction. The festival culminates in a performance at Merkin Concert Hall. Students will take a field trip to the Mostly Mozart Festival or one of New York's major cultural institutions. They will also participate in an alternative-style string feature and other activities.

What a great piece to do at a summer school! I thought you achieved an excellent balance between piano and strings - the piece needs a certain weight of string sound, which you certainly got!
