Volunteers from the Barry County Farm Bureau recently put the finishing touches on a home built by Homes for Our Troops for Corporal Josh Hoffman, a wounded veteran of the war in iraq, by laying over 4000 yards of donated sod at the home site. Assisted by volunteers from the Barry County Christian School, they turned a rainy day into a rewarding event.

The sod was donated by Triple A Turf of Hudsonville, Ludema and Boyink of Clarkville, Hi Lo Acres of Portland, and two Grand Ledge operations, McLeods and Witt Farms.
