Gorillaz: Murdoc - Plastic Beach Video Premiere

Being a member of a cartoon band is a gig a lot of flesh-and-blood musicians would kill for -- there are no interviews, obligations or other banal realities of stardom to worry about.

In that spirit, Gorillaz are prepping for the release of their new album, 'Plastic Beach,' with a promotional video that's firmly set within their fictional universe. In this clip, simply titled 'Murdoc,' the animated bassist sets off on his journey to Plastic Beach with some cash and champagne. Unfortunately, an unnamed nemesis has other plans.

Murdoc's escape to Plastic Beach :) Monumental.

I hope that with the 3rd album Murdoc gets more attention now, according to he's the frontman and founder of the band. I agree with him, it was just way too noodle in Damon Days.
