HORROR MISTAKE REFEREE !!!! CLEAR PENALTY BARCELONA BETIS !!! INIESTA DID NOT DIVE The Spain international went into the referee's book midway through the second half after he went to the ground in the Betis area in an attempt to win a spot-kick, and Iniesta insists that his booking was undeserved.
"I hope they take the card away. I didn't dive, they brought me down. Thankfully it played no part in the outcome of the game," Iniesta said to the official Barcelona website.
The attacking midfielder then went on to praise Betis for their strong performance at Camp Nou.
"We knew that it would be difficult because Betis are a great team. They are good in the air and they showed that throughout the game.
"When we needed more possession they drew level, but in the end we managed to secure the victory. You have highs and lows in every game, you must try to minimise that as best you can."
Barcelona's next game is the Copa del Rey quarter-final Clasico away to Real Madrid on Wednesday.
