here khatir afridi has compiled the sad facts of formation of life from earth, its demise and return to earth,in contrast Rumi's description of the happy side of atom as a unit form of different shapes of earthly things,growth of jasmine,tulips and lovely juniper trees.

the lover's funeral passing in front of the beloved' house and her forgetfullness to come out and pay respect, is like dying the second time.

poets memorialize their death while they are alive.Khatir's death at young age makes these well articulated lines, powerful tearjerkers.

a perfact articulation of words hard to grasp and equaly difficult to match by any other poet.

jwendi ka la na marha di be la khawro,
wey na marha di na sarha di be la khawro

( human beings are never sick of the earth it's earthly ambitions of having plenty of earthly possestions.

wey cha che khawre zaan ganrhaley pa jwendoon de ka na,
wey hagha char ta ke prata di be la khawro.

(those who chose these earthly things as greed of plenty would persue the same dirt.. association with dirt make some humble others too foolish proud and selfish.)

da insaan sara che gham gat sho nu klek shu,
dewal karhe be ubo de cha la khawro.

( when humans got sadness in life,it imparted strenght,
after all you can not build a mud- wall without water.)

da Khatir rangeen ghazal ta heranegam,
che de kher khyber ke sa di be da khawro.

( i am all wonders and appreciation to hear that colorful ghazal (love song) of "Khatir" after all what would that faded mountain; khber look like without him and his poetry.)

janaza che me da kora gour ta wakhli,
ta ba na ye ra watale za ba merh yem,

( they are taking my body for burial by your house and you are not even out to pay respect;it feel like dying for the second time.

wache terkhe che pa ma ra zerghune shi
aw che mazar me shi makhele za ba merh yem.

( you will believe my death after the weeds grow tall over the tomb,and the tomb-stone looses it's luster.)

dagha dwa wreze jwandun de mergai wrek sha
sara khandi ba tuole kele za ba merh yem.

( life is short i hate dying,specialy the day when the villagers laugh at your funeral.)

ae ashna che ta ra drume de watan ta,
kherh khyber kho de ledale za ba merh yem.

( my friend! i waited too long for your return,now if you ever come,you will see that colorless mountain khber,i may be dead.)

pa mazaar che me terege khudai da pa ra,
leg sha ma ta khpa newele za ba merh yem.

( when you pass my tomb,for God sake stop for a movement to pay respect,i am dead,i deserve that.)

da kakul da khata-band da mekh ketab ta ka na ,
ma khatir pa ta sparele,za ba merh yem.

( my life is like the face-book of mistakes and sins, i am, human..
i am parting and leaving "Khatir" to God for caretaking and His mercy.)

سره خاندي به ټول کلی زه به مړ يم
بې له مانه ما څوک نه درځنې غواړي
ما خپل ځان درته بخښلی زه به مړ يم
چې په ډېرو شپو مې هېر نکړې جانانه
دا ستا یاد مې ډېر ساتلی زه به مړ يم
زه د یار د دره بې له خپله ياره
بل چا نه يم راشړلی زه به مړ يم
ګوره په دا تور سترګو کله کله
هبه مړ يمجوړ په ما د خاورو څلی ز
چې په زبر مې تېرېږې خدای لپاره
لږ شه ما ته پښه نيولی زه به مړ يم
بيا لږ راشه په خندا شه چې ښايسته شي
چې مزار مې شي مښلی زه به مړ يم
که نور هيڅ نه وي چې ما لره رادرومې
خړ خيبر خو دې ليدلی زه به مړ يم
