This is my demo of the Yamaha GT-2(Grand Touch) piano.
It have a lifelike digital tone and offers real grand piano action and keyboard.
Tones are stereo sampled throughout their full acoustic range from the Yamaha CFIIIS concert grand.

The music is from one of the last sonatas by Beethoven(op.109).
I know the performance is not perfect, but I hope to bring it up to a higher level in time.
Still I hope you enjoy it!

  • vind dit een hele mooie uitvoering op youtube

  • @fr4545-Thanks!

  • I've seen more renowned or "perfect" interpretations of this song, but I still prefer yours the best. You almost play it more like a jazz piece than classical. I mean it all in a good way. Hopefully I dont offend.

  • @KCJacksonMuz -Thanks a lot! I think its a inspiring comment!

  • Very nice playing - love this sonata. I'm thinking of buying a used GT-2. Do you find that it's possible to play pianissimo with this keyboard and control a wide dynamic range?

Here is what Yamaha write about the GT-2: Continuous-position optical key sensors, newly developed for the GranTouch pianos, work with optical hammer speed sensors to deliver impeccable accuracy in timing, dynamics and the subtlest nuances of play. Pedal sensors, continuous position sensing for the sustain and shift pedals, complete the system, ensuring that every action of the pianist is faithfuly reproduced.

  • so now, because of you, i want a new piano like this one, nice piece, like it so much:D

  • Wow! Look how short it is, yet it's still in the style of a grand piano!

Since a "baby grand" is considerably longer than this, does that make it a "fetus grand"? ;-)

  • @troppofiato

    Thanks for comment!

Yes I think this Yamaha will give what you ask for.

It have the same respond as a real grand piano. In this demo I used the output from the GT-2 direct into my videocamera. This piano sounds even more natural acoustic when you use it with the loudspeakers intergrated.
