  • "judges have all kinds of crazy ideas"

"i can't give you case names"

"i don't pay attention to ... court decisions"

"i think they're close to meaningless on this issue"

man. does this even qualify as an argument? clayton, you were very nice to that young and incredibly ignorant woman. good for you. i hope she went home and wanted to learn more!

  • While I think the woman was wrong, her view is not represented very well in the video. She helped write an amicus brief for the case. She was neither pro or anti but somewhere in the middle. In talking with her, I honestly think she tried to look at the arguments objectively. She was hung up on the preamble and felt that must, based on precedent, have a meaning.

  • Go Clayton Cramer!

The guy arguing with the victim disarmament idiot did a great deal of original research into what the framers thought they meant when they wrote the Second Amendment. Hint: you and I have a right to arm ourselves. Period.

See his book, Armed America, for a detailed account drawn from writings and public records of the time.

Among much else, makes clear that from the start, gun control laws were often about disarming the disenfranchised, such as slaves and Indians.

  • lol this is coming from an irishman..enough said...even the americans are more respected then the irish. go kill urself mate. lol

  • sophistry?....must we?...I'm glad you're through wasting your time....try your weak arguments on someone less prepared next time....ok buddy?

  • So 18th century law is outdated? So the right to speech, right to petition, right to privacy, right to defense, right to a fair trial, etc. is outdated? Sorry, but this is my last post to you, it's wasting my time. Have a good day.

  • riiiight....let's compare the U.S. to a country with 1/3 the population of New York City! brilliant....and if you want the laws of the 18th century governing 21st century problems?....more power to you. I love how you guys selectively hold up SCOTUS as well. and if you're so interested in the founders idea of "the people" I suppose blacks and women should be exempt from have guns, eh? as well as those without property?

  • Did you read up on Switzerland like i asked you to. They have the most pro-gun laws on the books, and they are one of, if not the most safest, developed country out there. Why bash the US for having guns. You really don't care about American ideals about firearms, so study the Swiss and you will understand why we are very similar. They are very serious about their militia more than the americans are, and the Swiss are some of the most respected people in the world. Have a good day. =)
