Just to add some information about the scrapping of 2995, this took place close to where I live in Pontymister, South Wales. Bird's Commercial Motors had a large railway scrapyard here between 1962 and 1969, and 2995 was used as a yard shunter there for 4 months in 1968 before being scrapped on site. A sad loss indeed.
this 2994, to most from the west somerset railway is called Vulcan one of the three locos in that form built by WG Bagnall in 1951. sadly 2995 was scrapped so i hope 2994 aan 2996 will continue running forever
