I love the way religious nuts try to make up their own definitions of what a religion is just so they can try to argue that everyone is just as nuts as them. By doing this you can make EVERYTHING a religion. The religion of food- You have your food chuch (grocery store) your food taboos (ripe food, not rotten/spoiled food, fungus free), you have your food alter (dining table),you make burnt sacrifices (cooking food over fire), your religious text (cook book). See,food is very very religious.

The reality based community? So 90%+ of scientists, who actually know what the hell they are talking about, are not living in reality? If you really think that facts based in science are actually beliefs based in faith, than you are not living in a "reality based community".

Environmentalism is a religion, seriously? This is scary even for the AFA. Environmentalism is a movement started by people who want to save the earth before it's destroyed by pollution. A religion usually involves a god. environmentalism does not have a god.

This is insane to the extreme. This guy has no fucking idea what the fuck he's saying. It pisses me off that idiots like this exist. Just caring for the planet we live in and sustaining it for future generations is somehow some crazy religion. Holy shit.

I love how they include holding contradictory beliefs as evidence for environmentalism being a religion.

They know that religious reasoning is based on faith, which is shitty epistemology. The only way they can maintain a competitive and plausible veneer for their backwards-as-fuck ideology is to insist that any other mode of thought is a religion, too. They're conceding that religious reasoning is horse shit, so they need to believe everyone else believes in equally implausible horse shit.

He's saying it's a religion because he thinks it's bad. So he thinks religion is bad.
