@Kritickos Do you even know what your talking about I'd love too see you play at this level on a WET hard court scratch that I'd like to see you play at the recreational tennis level on a WET hard court you would tear your legs, ankles, feet etc apart by the time the first set is over. Learn about the sport before you come here with your cocky attitude
-
Ok. I'll make a soup out of your ankle ligaments when you rip them apart.

Love Roddick when his angry
-
Was the match delayed or did andy for forfeit?
-
He wasn't gonna win anyway
-
@JasonPlaysTennis also. water on the court kills tennis balls

If Andy did in fact warn the tournament ref about water problems before the match, he has every right to be pissed. And for the people saying play on, and tennis players are wussies, we don't get to wear cleats like in other sports, and we don't have towel boys to dry the court like in the NBA. If you're in the middle of a point and you plant your outside foot to hit on that water spot, you're going to slip, fall, and twist your ankle/pull your groin/or do something to your knee. It's dangerous.

@italo36 Andy is an American - that's how we express ourselves when we're upset about ridiculous things like demanding players play on potentially dangerous wet grounds.
The US Open should stop being cheap and out-of-touch and invest in a retractable roof!!!!!
-
it's not what he's complaining about that is the issue, it's the way that Andy treats people, he's just acting like a spoiled brat millionaire and the fact that he talks like that to the tournament referee shows how arrogant he is.

@TheTruthiest Do you even play tennis? For your information it takes a lot of attitude, guts, and tenacity to play hard and win.
Who cares if you are embarrassed? Stop acting scary and soft.
Anyone who plays tennis and is any good at it knows Roddick has a point here. If a court is wet at all, you're just begging for an injury, closely followed by a lawsuit against not only the tournament director but the tournament, the USTA and the ATP, and no judge is going to go against a player in that circumstance.

I agree with Jason....even your average weekend warrior knows that if theirs even a small amount of water on the court that you can really hurt yourself. Besides cracks give irregular bounces as well.... I don't fault Roddick
