    i love this version because not only does it stick to the roots of arabian dance, but the song and dance itself are all ready very sensual, so they didn't dress the dancers in revealing costumes like many schools do now, because it's not needed. Costumes that revealing mixed with the music and steps only make the dance as a whole seem vulgar.

    The reason to put Persian is because has sooo many similarities with Ballet! Classical Persian dance has also many similarities with Arabic dance...So the compination was just so clever! Bridging all together in one magnifisent dance!

    But why do they put Persian dance into an Arabian dance? That's an interesting point you bring into this because I don't know about Persian dancing at all, but it's interesting that they did that

    0.40-1.15 the melody was taken from Georgian (republic of Georgia) lullaby. Tchaikovsky is a pure genius!
