CHAPTER 5!

Nick's POV

This was my first time enjoying volleyball. It was all because of that beautiful girl. I was glad she kept hurting Drew. He deserved it for thinking such dirty thoughts about her. Almost everyguy had dirty thoughts about her and I just wanted to rip off their heads. All the girls thoughts were calling her a bitch for no reason. I couldn't read Marissa's thoughts clearly as the others. But I could hear her heart clearly. It was slower and softer than the others. It wasn't normal. I was wondering if she was okay because she felt very dizzy. After she hurt Drew she had to go sit down. She leaned her head back and closed her eyes. I walked closer to her to see if she was okay. I kept getting closer and closer and her heart became faster and faster by the moment.
"Hello, my name is Nick." I said quietly so I wouldn't scare her. Her eyes opened and she stared at me with her beautiful blue eyes. She just glared at me. What did I do to her?
"Hi." She said sharply and stood up and walked past me fast. She was still dizzy because she almost collapsed but she catched herself by holding on to the wall. She slided down with her back to the wall and sighed.
"Are you okay?" I took a step closer.
"Fine." She mumbled.
"Are you sure?"
"No. My nose still hurts. And my ears." I gave her a confused face. She rolled her eyes.
"You slamed the door in my face." She said. Oh boy.
"Oh, yeah. Sorry."
"Whatever." She mumbled to herself.
"How's your heart?" Oops. Did that just slip.
"What about my heart?" I gave me a glare.
"Uhm. Nothing." I looked down.
"Tell me." She demanded.
"It's just that your heart beat is very slow and quiet than everybody elses."
"How can you hear my heart?" She gave me a confused face.
"I can hear everybodys. And yours stands out by far."
She gave me a confused look.
"why does it matter?"
"I was just wondering."
"Well dont. No one should care about my how I'll die!" She covered her mouth as soon as it came out. Everybody turned to stare.
"Die?" I whispered to her?
She was silent.
"What do you mean about how you're going to die?"
"Nothing okay! Nothing!" She got up and headed for the door. The bell rang as soon as she was out and I followed her to lunch.She must of noticed me.
"What?!" She turned to face me.
"What about you dieing?"
"You told him?! I thought you were not going to tell anyone about your condition!" A boy said who came right next to her. I couldn't read his thoughts either.
"Shutup Jack!" Marissa yelled. Jack started to cry and ran off. She looked at me. Her eyes were red and watery. She looked very angry.
"UGH!!" She yelled and ran off to the boy Jack. I decided to leave her alone for awhile. Condition? Death? Her heart? I had to find out.
