Clearance had V186 to Halie, then V66? to MZB? ( consulting So. Cal Sectional...) which is a MZB R-255 Crs. "TO" MZB, then maybe out to SARGS (IAF) yes? yet, at end of Vid, i'm hearing Female approach controller giving you several "Unfamiliar" headings, which Don't jibe with initial Clearance recieved, and what the Sectional Shows for that routing. i imagine then, that somewhere about here, in busy SAN Class B Airspace, things get "changed" rapidly? thanks for clarification Sir. :)

(con'd) as an afterthought, please allow me to add , i guess i assumed that when your clearance includes language such as, "V66, Mission Bay (MZB) that, at least as of that readback, I would guess 'your flying westbound after Haile, "TO"...Mission Bay VOR for a rwy 9 Approach to SAN..if i have this assumption incorrect, and it meant, Fly EAST at haile, ON the MZB Radial 076, for a rwy 27 set up ( which by all appearances, is exactly what you did) could you please set me straight. thank you

@drumdude46 A clearance assumes you'll loose radios. It sure would screw up the departures if you flew all the way to Mission Bay.
