This brought back fond memories of the summer of '70 when, as a young college student, I worked as a hostess at the Yosemite Lodge (I'm not sure that it still exists). Degnans was the only privately owned snack shop in the valley, and it introduced me to the then novel, "donut holes." The Degnans' kids were outdoorsy, naturalists, rock-climbers, and quite an interesting bunch. We shared many a campfire...

you guys were so fortunate to get to see the Valley this year with the record snowfall run-off...the waterfalls must have been beyond belief...! Thanks so much for sharing...this is one of my favortie places in America!
