  • With very thin connecting rods a 6 crank would work in a v12.

    Many angles involved.

I suppose axial jet engines don't use a v configuration for some complex reason.

  • Gm made a 32 valve v8 engine in 1990.

Plus the northstar cadillac engine and probably more to name.

  • Well holy shit batman!

20V inline 4 is made also by audi and its not that incredible! its more complex and price a lot higher.

  • ok i see but i still find it hard to beleve that I6 cranks can be used in a v12...cuz arnt 6's cranks have on rod per journal?? and 12's have a wider journal for 2 rods to fit right?

  • They are the same coz a V12 is two straight sixes side by side. Its the reason why V12's are naturally balanced. A V12 has one crank pin for an opposite pair of cylinders thats why straight 6 cranks can be used as V12 cranks.

  • how?

  • its called a nutcracker

  • Remember that Straight 6 Cranks can also be used on V12 Cranks!

  • you dont know, that is honing machine

  • what cutting tool its used?
