Not bad. I rekon we don't say G'day that much cause everyone says we say it. One thing though Why do Americans say Ossies with an sss sound. Its like fingernails on a chalk board. Its a z sound. We already have enough snakes. Short and sharp.

Yeh, im from a small Aussie town and honestly, 'Gday mate' is used to the full extent that the stereotype would suggest. No matter who you're talking to, its always the good ol' "Oh Gday mate, hows it going?".. I guess it would change in different areas throughout Australia though.
