This is the game that brought us the Hikaru. Sega spent some serious cash developing this board specifically for Brave Firefighters, and they succeeded in delivering a board capable of incredible visuals.
Unfortunately, Sega's visual powerhouse was a fussy, fragile mess. Hikarus are prone to hardware failure, are not easy to repair, and are dying by the day. Due to the costs involved with the hardware, not many games were developed for it - none of which have been released outside the arcade. Thus, if you see a working Hikaru game in an arcade, you should definitely play it as there will be a day when games on this platform are not to be found.
This video is a great example of the issues appearing in these boards less than a decade after they were released. To film this game, I had to press down on a specific spot on the main board. Had I let up pressure at all, the game would have instantly locked up. This is one of several faulty Hikkis I have, and it is the only one that works, even though only with special care.
I do not have a Harley cabinet. I tested this in my Nascar Arcade cabinet as it uses the same boardset.
