Robert Dollar Co. #3, a 1927 Alco 2-6-2 tank engine, is actually pushing a set of excursion passenger cars westward from Sunol to Niles. This is at the west end of Brightside Yard where the crossing has two wigwags.
The lead "cab car" is the Yosemite Valley Observation car. This wouldn't be such a bad way to commute. ;)
We have 4 wood burners in our state, and one coal, :P

I love that Yosemite car, I hope 2472 pulls that car in one of her trains.

I never knew that, thanks.

The #3 has a Western Pacific 5 chime. Many railroads copied the American Locomotive Company's standard 5 chime whistle, including the WP. This is just a shop made version.

What kind of whistle does #3 wear? Is it a Nathan?

Robert Dollar #3 is my favorite engine at Niles Canyon at the moment. I even favor her over the SP 2472 honestly.
