Roundtable: "Decline of the Dollar, Decline of the Empire?" A Roundtable with: • Chris Rude, • Scott Aquanno, • David McNally, • Sam Gindin Moderated by Leo Panitch
Sponsored by: York Seminar in Comparative Political Economy
Great presentation. I found McNally's 2008 essay on the crisis also to be quite good in its focus on world money, though I think it falls short of an robust theory of crisis because it under-theorizes the "overaccumulation" side of the story.
Interesting but fairly obvious that the US is in decline and the Euro would take up the slack. I'm more interested in the reasons for this from a globalist view point. Is this because the dollar as a fiat currency is coming towards the decline in the lifespan. Being in mind the fractional reserve system. Is the Euro the next Ponzi fiat scheme to manipulate the masses? To understand the whole picture you need to reveal the globalist agenda and find out how this all fits into the grand plan.
