Music of Chitral (song: Yaar mann Hameen by Mansoor Ali)

"Yaar mann hameen" is an old Chitrali song. The lyrics were written by the famous sufi poet, Baba Siyar and first sung by himself. In this video, Mansoor Ali, the famous contemporary Chitrali singer, sings the song in its old typical style.

"Booni" is a beautiful town surrounded by high mountains. It is situated at a ditsance of one and a half hours' from Chitral town. It takes 45 minutes to reach Chitral town by air from Islamabad and about 30 minutes from Peshawar. That makes it a mere two and a half hours' travel from Islamabad to Booni.

Woww.... I didn't know this song is available on net. I heard it at a production house in Lahore and thought it was their composition. Where was this recorded in fact? Anyway, it takes me away from this world and i love this song. MashaAllah, whatever is written, must be good to know... can anyone translate it for me? The singer is great!
