Here is Dr. Stiffler's SEC configured the correct way with an added SGate. The coils are arreanged correctly and the transistor is the correct one. This is running on a 12volt power source at less than 10 milliamps and lighting up up a neon. I am unable at this time to illuminate a fluorescent bulb from the device. Perhaps someone can tell me what I am doing wrong. I am able to disconect the resistor from the base of the transistor once the unit is running.

  • cool

  • shlodo---You would like this one if you haven't built it already. Kinda like a Joule Thief but with some neat twists and turns. Better roller coaster ride. lol

  • When trying to light the fluorescent bulbs, hold the end nearest to the copper or whatever you are lighting it off. Not necessarily the metal ends but near the end of the bulb. I would also omit the incandescent bulb housing as that is adding metal or mass in the mix. Glad to see you working on this, it's great for efficient lighting.

  • Wavefront101--Thanks for the tips. I watched your video and they are great. I really liked the wireless energy transmission one. Gotta try that one when I get mine running right.

  • Lid:

I don't know what I am talking about but since you got shocked in the circuit prior to the "load" try removing the "load" and make the load the tubes the load. Just a guess. I was shocked many times from my fuji board before I realized that ...."hey that's high voltage, I need that." Anyway, great video as usual.

  • Thanks Bill----I will try that. There is something else going on though that I don't understand yet. When this is running right the fluorescents will light up like in Tesla coil experiments.

  • aweet m keep on going , you're getting there !

ty for posting this, i'm tempted to build one now :)

  • My post some how didn't go through so I'll try again. Stiffler has 2 threads, 1 at energetic forums, and 1 at overunity. The schematic is posted there.

  • any tips where to find good details for building it?

i google search "stiffler sec schematic"and dont find much.......

  • I made a mistake it's actually 7w 120v bulbs. I was thinking 4w fluorescent for some reason. Yes, build the sec, it's something special.

  • i tried MRH2O2's "pls replicate" with a HF smilutator and then 555 timer circuit running ignition coils,i got some odd piezo effects but i could not get a 12 volt incandescent to light-looks like i need to build a stiffler SEC....
