This is my arrangement of the hymn-like section from "Jupiter", which is the 4th movement of Gustav Holst's suite known as "The Planets". It is wonderful orchestral work which I have attempted to reduce to a solo classical guitar. Hope you enjoy it. TAB free at http://www.rasely.com/music.htm

  • I'm glad you found it, Jessica. Enjoy.

  • billy- go to my web site (rasely.com), then click on the Music link at the top. Then scroll down to the Classical Mood CD. The TAB link is right after the Jupiter title.

  • could you send me a copy of the tab please?

  • @Gonzo6994 I will need an email address. I send them as pdf files.

  • Ooh! It's definitely possible, even for a hamfisted oaf like me!

Have you tried it with the bottom E dropped to D? It sounds nice...

  • My version is in G, so the dropped D wouldn't work for me, although I understand what you mean. Did you want a copy of my TAB chart?

  • wow, this is beautiful. great work.

  • I have the same guitar you do :D

This is a really beautiful rendition of a really beautiful song...

I've been playing acoustic guitar for roughly six years and mainly play by ear (can't read music, *gasp!*), but I couldn't seem to get figure Jupiter out, and couldn't find the tablature ANYWHERE. You just saved me, dear sir. If only everyone was as generous with their tablature as you are :)

    Much thanks :D

    Jessica

  • Send me a tab too if you don't mind, i'll message you with my contact details.

  • This is so well done, man. I've been losing interest in playing guitar as a whole after 11 years, and this just gave me enough inspiration to realize that I love music too much and can never quit playing guitar. Thanks, and great playing,

    Kris.

  • Apologies i have just found them. Many thanks Tom.

  • Hi Tom, thanks for the video. I looked on your site for the tabs but couldnt find them. Also to you guys who already have them, how about posting them so we can all enjoy playing this piece.
