Woodworker's Journal Contributing Editor Sandor Nagyszalanczy shows some key steps for maintaining your band saw to keep it running well for many years.
do you actually leave the blade in contact with the phenolic blocks? A fellow on another video suggested the width of a piece of paper on each side, which seemed like a good suggestion. I have a Craftsman 103.0103 Craftsman/Dunlap 12" Band Saw, from who knows, the 50's...a real bear. And my Dad's newer, smaller model, stuck in my ex-girlfriends garage...
i actually returned my tires with a very sharp chisel they were very out of round.
