I think it so sad that they make you look like what they want, to be marketable, we just can't be ourselves. Not saying we should be all gross and everything, but just ourselves

the industry is fickle, full of folks who wouldn't know real talent and gifting if they ate it for breakfast, and or looking for artists to sell their souls - that's NOT LALAH!

She usually dealt with producers who would concentrate on artistic expression than commercial success. If Babyface or Jimmy jam would have got a hold of her she would've been on top.
