This is a video I made of my 100-yr-old great aunt singing a snippet of 'Just a Rose Will Do' on Mother's Day/Decoration (May 11, 2008). You can hear part of the story she told me about the song. It's one that her neighbor, Norman, used to sing to her. He lives up north now and called to sing it to her for her 100th birthday. She also told me that some of the staff at the nursing home would sometimes ask her to sing it for them before she went to sleep at night. She was born Dec. 9, 1907 and died Sept. 10, 2009.
