Your right, it did sound constricted and constipated, what was i 16,17 when i did that? im pretty sure i wasnt trying to compete, or impress anyone, just doing alittle happy bday song for a girl back then.. so kuddos on being a pro and writting charts. im sure everyone likes working with you :)

You can be the highest screaming, most technically gifted player in the world, but if you have a shit tone, no-one will want to listen to your double C's, or whatever. Hence the comments on this video.

@jazzmangiant Well I'm a professional. I write for big bands. I play in big bands. And I lead a big band. So here's how it goes. 1) You describe this as lead trumpet. What are you leading? I don't see a section with you. 2) Lead trumpet is NOT another term for playing high. 3) If you're going to do it and more importantly post on here to show off, at least do it in tune. And with a tone that is not constricted and constipated. You want to play like Maynard, Bergeron, Arturo? TONE WORK

Coming from a fellow "lead trumpet" (lol) your tone is awful. You can have the highest range in the world, but if you don't have a good tone, then you're shit. I'm not being a dick, it's just what I tell my entire trumpet corps

I love the way he comes in here to defend himself. Seriously dude. If you put up a vid of yourself "screaming", and don't have a big, nice sound...well, be prepared for people to laugh at you.
It's kind of like posting a naked pic of yourself when you're hung like a tic-tac. I mean, naturally, people are going to point and laugh man.
If you don't mind being made fun of, and think it's all good and get a great laugh out of it, then by all means, that's great.
