50 seconds from starting to load the OS to a responsive desktop. That's not fast today and was not in the early days of Windows XP. Of course most moron-operated machines with craploads of OEM crap and 3 antivirus suites are(and were) slower.

That is no faster than what my acer one intel atom 1gb ram netbook took to boot. Now I have windows 8 dev preview with aero and everything installed and it boots in 5 seconds and wakes from hibernate in basically the same time as opening the lid. I know that is xp not windows 8, but just saying. I might sometime reinstall xp alongside to see how quick it boots from fresh. And do another xp vs win 8 vid.
