@andrichj420 Read Amillennialism Today by William E. Cox. That pretty much blows away any debate. I cannot recommend it enough.
Luke 17:20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

@Truthdebate The church was NOT dispensational before Augustine. There was premillennialism (or Chiliasm) AND amillennialism in the early church. You are not correct on this point.
Also, many protestant reformers were postmillennialists; the puritans were almost entirely of this view.

Page 3 - (Also, see 1 Cor 15:46-49 for the Earthly/Heavenly precedent). A good example of this is John the Baptist who came in the "Spirit" of Elijah! Jesus says Elijah has "already come" but many Dispensationalists, in keeping with their literal interpretation say he is yet to come! THIS is the problem, they don't allow the bible to interpret itself and to allow for "spiritual" fulfillment of prophecy!

Page 2 - The Proximate fulfillment occurred with Earthly/Natural Israel, The Ultimate fulfillment comes through the TRUE Israel (Jesus, See Isa 49:3). Only those who are in HIM are said to be "Children of Abraham" and "The House of Israel" (See Gal 3:29 and Eph 2). For some very good reading on Eschatology google Philip Mauro and read his writings.
Of course, Amillennialism, Postmillennialism, Dispensational Premillennialism, and Historic Premillennialism are all fallacious views of Rev.19-20, each expressing their own errors.
These debates cast doubt upon the clarity of the Word of God on the issue of the exegesis of Rev.19-20.
I maintain that God's Word is actually CLEAR concerning this issue.

@R1K2G3 Dispensational Pre-millennialism is the literal reading of scripture, so your clarity is either based on the literal reading or your symbolic view.

Did you know that the Protestant Reformers held to the a millennial view? Not that it makes it true, but it is interesting that the Dispensational view has only become popular recently.

@wmjrigo The Protestant Reformers kept the traditions of the Catholic Church before them on Eschatology.
This was developed from St. Augustine, however before him the Church was dispensational. Read early church history in the 1st and 2nd Century, the church fathers taught of a Kingdom of God, ruled from Jerusalem by King Jesus. This is a Millennium teaching, because its a literal view of scripture as opposed to non-literal view.
