There was no question but that the cycle rider was taking action to avoid the officer and was assaulted.
But this is NYC.
I am from (in) San Antonio and we had a NYC cop pull a handgun out on me in San Antonio, not a wise move.
He was escorted to the airport and told to buy a ticket and leave or face charges.
He had to leave his family behind and was understandably upset, but he could not be allowed to remain.
