  • @KypHeM - You are very misinformed. I have driven the Volt and immediately you notice differences from it and current hybrids, such as HSD Prius - ( the soon-to-be-sold-here, Prius Plug In ) and others such as the Ford Fusion Hybrid. --- First, you're dead wrong. Volt with a full charge will drive from 0 mph to 90 mph ALL ELECTRIC with zero start of the gas generator. Not so with current hybrids where the gas is always a mere touch of the accelerator. 40-50 miles until CS mode.

  • if you have a lot of money get this car as a toy.show piece

  • @issamworld ya. electric cars better as they are will always be less convenient

  • Do you think its possible to keep this car like for 10 years ? I mean doses tha battery will always hold a charge at the same rate ? and how about the performance of the battery in a cold climate or discharge ?

  • I just test drove the Volt with a friend who has one on order. They let me drive it too.

It is that good. Smooth quiet and quick... without the noise .. we beat the snot out of it for about 20 mins... pulling away several times and leaving many a 50K Large SUV looking small in the rear view mirror... when we got back .. no odd smells you would get if you beat the snot out of any ICE car... great ride ... great car.. no wonder this years production is sold out... even at 32K .

  • need a FULL electric car.

  • @pjkPA Nope. With Pruis, the 50 mpg involves the total cost of fueling the car. With Volt, the 150 is only gas. You have to put a price on the electrical charge, convert that to mpg and then compare. In one comparison Volt got 59 mpg. Better yet, break both Pruis and Volt down by COST to run them and you will see Volt is only very slightly more cost effective. If you drive long distances, Volt comes in second.

  • 150 HP on an electric motor, holy shit!

  • Lots of people test drive it, but no-one wants to buy it..LOL
