Do a rinse cycle first.
Wash on cold, warm or hot (30, 40 or 60) with half the amount of washing powder you would normally use.
Ensure your powder does not contain fabric softener or enzymes.
If using a front loader, take care not to overfill the load so the nappies can be thoroughly cleaned.
Hang on the line for minimal environmental impact.
Nappies are OK in the dryer on low or medium heat, if you choose.

THANKYOU for dispelling the myth that using cloth nappies is difficult. It's NOT and no excuse not to use nappies. I use a Little Squirt (great investment!), wash as normal and sundry where possible, and do a strip wash once every 2-3 weeks to remove any product build up to keep my ittis lasting a long time. They've not appeared to lose any of their lush texture nor absorbancy even after plenty of uses and washes and their colours remain FAB (loving the limited edition ones!)
