  • @zoomburger412 You are making a very common mistake, so I'm going to have to point it out to you. "Indie" does not belong to a category of musical genre. It merely signifies that the artist had little to no support from a well-financed label --nothing more. Moreover, a lot of people love to use it as a vague buzzword, a handy little word filled with radical praise and no meaning behind it. Have you ever heard "indie" being used with negative connotations? I think not.
