Added more sounds for braking/sliding, hitting pedestrians, using the car's horn... Also, all the cars have engine sounds, not only the player's, so the city is much noisier and alive.

About the game: I'm programming it using C++ and DirectX 9.0c. My chosen physics engine is Bullet Physics.

  • The first death sound of the first pedestrian sounded very familiar from another game.

  • @science505 Yes, it's a free sound from freesound(dot)org, I'm quite sure Minecraft uses it :D (they got some of the sounds for the game from that site).

    This is very good what are you working on.

    I am a programmer too, and have a little bit experience with OpenGl and Ogre3D. So it will be good to write some more info on all the videos, of what techniques are you using, or some links where we can read about the thing you have implemented.

    With that your videos will be much more watched, and all who are interested in this problematics, will learn much more about it.

  • @1NIKIMC1 I'd like to do it, writing some technical posts in my blog is something I wanted to do but I don't have the time right now, I have to use as much time I can on making the game, that's my primary goal; I'll try making some of those posts some day but I can't promise anything at this moment, hope you understand. I can make some posts/tweets recommending papers, books, sites, software.. I'm finding/using and think useful, that's other thing I want to do that wouldn't take me too much time

  • @VmanMaslov1995 My plan is adding ragdolls at some point. For now I added simple animations when pedestrians are hit but the original idea was using ragdolls... it's just a matter of time and too many things to add :P I'll get to it some day.
