In celebration of her new book, Get Off Your Knees & Pray, Sheila Walsh answered questions from Beliefnet.com website visitors on the topic of prayer. Here Sheila answers a question from Beliefnet.com website visitor, PerfectChaos, who wants to know why some prayers go unanswered. Wow! This is a question all of us have had from time-to-time.
God doesn't answer prayer. He just doesn't. maybe he is a God of indifference, or maybe he is not real and that we are not a creation of God but God is the creation of man.

Getting your prayers answered is always a crap-shoot with God.Your odds are probably better in Vegas then they are in the prayer closet of seeing a positive answer within your lifetime. If you consistantly have the answer "no" shoved at you by a God who consistantly ignore's your requests, then that disappointment is also a two-way street. If He earnistly desire's intimacy and relationship with me, then that can be denied as well. If my concerns are ignored, then in like, His shall be also by me.

Thank you, Sheila. Although you probably won't read this your story has touched me greatly since I first met you at a women of faith conference 8 years ago. I am glad to see you continue to expand your ministry, now on youtube too! You have inspired me greatly to pursue public speaking and sharing about my life and the freedom that comes with knowing Christ. I am grateful for God's work in and through you. Bless you, sister, and continue to serve in a mighty way. - Jen D. -
