  • Hi, I'm from Italy, and (unfortunately) I'm not a musician, but of course a big music lover.

I listen to this music mainly from CD's, but I was lucky enough to attend two concerts of the Tallis Scholars in Cremona (northern Italy), and it was amazing.

No live video of Josquin here on YouTube? :)

  • Ah. Yes, I very much like the Tallis Scholars.

There might be some josquin clips on youtube, but none from RS yet.

  • BTW, "Ebb and flow" is a good image for this motet, and possibly for all renaissance music - that music has a natural, beautiful breath.

I will carefully listen to all your videos.

Do you ever perform my much beloved Josquin?

  • Thanks!

Yes we do sometimes, although haven't recorded it yet. Do you perform this music as well? Where are you from?

  • Mark, thank you for your answer. English is not my language (and in fact I see an error

in my previous message :) ), so my comment was not very precise. I was thinking about varying a little more the dynamics and the texture, but after listening to the same video on your site (better quality), it's clear that the recording does not do you justice. I guess your live performance was absolutely ok.

  • Hello again!! Ah. We get reprimanded sometimes for under interpretation, I kind of like it underinterpreted. You hear the music as it is.:)
