FlyCamOne2 footage from the tail of my World Models Super Sports Senior, including the abrupt crash ending :-(
The plane snap rolled at the bottom of an outside loop, just as I was applying full power. Too low, too late, *crunch*.
The damage to the front of the fuselage is extensive, but not irrepairable. The firewall and all formers back to the leading edge of the wing were damaged by the battery, which survived remarkably well considering the impact. A new firewall and motor mount and she'll be back in the air. I'll be taking the opportunity to make a proper battery compartment this time, with adequate padding to protect the pack in case of future 'mishaps'.
Damage:
Fuselage - extensive but repairable.
Cowl - write off.
Motor mount - write off.
Wing joiner tube - bent (will be replaced with a carbon tube).
Minor cosmetic damage to one wingtip.
Power system:
Motor - E-Flite Power90 brushless outrunner
ESC - Dualsky 80A Xcontroller
Battery - Desire Power 6S 4500mah 33C LiPo
