  • You think you got it bad, I can't even get the shit to record a fuckin sound and I use both usb and the regular plug in.

  • @MrOmeMan Because the mic sucks....I took that thing back ages ago and have been recording with a Samson CO1U Mic...it's not perfect, but it's very good

  • Ya'll should check out some of my other videos. I got a different mic a long time ago!

  • Lol if you are "gonna pay a hundred dollars for a mic" you should probably have some understanding of the tool you are trying to use and how to engineer audio. What a noob.

  • the mxl 990 is a really good mic bro, get an interface and decent recording software and play with your sound. you'll be surprised what you can do.

  • @biggalight Get a windscreen/pop filter or talk at an angle where you don't put air into the mic. Most expensive or good non-handheld condenser mics have no form of windscreen, expecting you to get a pop filter, or control the air going into it.

  • @mrbagbug14 PSSSST. Did you see that its an USB mic? USB mics are phantom powered and communicated through USB. Learn the facts first, before you call other people names.

  • @LosAngelesFresh1 this :P

  • Pops and clicks mean your laptop sucks, get a Mac! LoL!!! Also, USB mics are for light bullshitting around, nothing to take serious recordings on... Podcasting, you can get away with (I guess) You need to do research and find out what to look for in picking a mic. And do some mic check tests at your local music store, who buys anything without checking it out first? There's no 1 brand name so ignore all the BS ppl may say about what to buy. Research is your only friend, trust me!!!

  • it does fail, but not in the way you think it does. This microphone is like a hop, skip, and a jump away from being sold at target (like samson mic's already are). It fails THIS bad because you need to get an interface with a good enough pre, and if you're on a budget then save up a little longer and get something in the $300-$500 price range for something that will get the job done well.

look up the AKG-414 (very popular mic in the industry) to put this MXL crap into perspective.

  • its all in your interface dude

  • You need an interface, you tards. How can you expect to get high end sound from a mid level mic with your piece of shit stock laptop sound cards?? Sell it/return it get an MXL770 for $70, and a Tascam US100 for $70. Then you're in business.

  • Yo! Dude....you bought the wrong one from MXL. You should have gotten a Studio 1 or even better the top of the line MXL.009 Top USB Mic on the market! Especially for voice overs....Or as others say, get a good xlr mic and an MXL MicMate to convert to USB or a encoder box!
